When I was young, my grandmother was always taking photos. Despite all my whining, she left me her camera when she passed.
A few years later I was new to Savannah, and I wanted to know it the way she knew things, from the ground up. So I picked up her camera and started photographing my way through the city. It wasn’t long before I understood what she was after: the faces and the lives of a world she loved. That was her legacy.
